KEMPER was founded and came about in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati Ohio area early 2000's by one none other than lone wolf, ghoul beast, lycanthropic barker, John LycAon Kemper. Obsessed with all things horror, monsterish, macabre and hallows eveish, Doused into a wide range of vocal nuances from crooning to tenor menacing, the horror cult ridden sound develops heavily under the bloodiest moon werebeast possession. Cursed through out the fire and ash of the former 10 year LUCICULT era, 2003 brings us the birth right of KEMPER. Taking some original songs and rewriting them a bit John started into 2003 recording and producing the blackness. 2004 KEMPER had been unleashed to the world with its first album Restless Fury released on its own label Lucicult Records. KEMPER would be deemed the forever band name. Why the name KEMPER? “So I can do this as long as I want with whatever I decide to do.”
Debut album Restless Fury 2004 emits the horror chanting echoes embraced into the forever haunted black howls. As beneath the rythmic trance of tenebrous drum beats, blairing guitars and stygian keyboards allure the black furies of abhorent rebellion. Track one OH THE HORROR OF IT ALL wails burn burn burn burn inheriting the horrid. More reveling of rebellion brings SERPENT KISS slithering into dooms abandonment. While HAND OF DARKNESS grips your mind into the warping harmonic vessel, DIABOLICAL seethes and seduces you to the demoness of passion's arms from the den of succubus lust . IN ITS WAKE strikes a nerve of blistering torment. And proceeding fires origin the title track RESTLESS FURY brings destructions rage into the fight. Straying the path of the half dead world DEATH WALKS AGAIN brings the infernal organs among the creepy stalking of emptiness. BLOODCHILL's recant of horror's bleakness conjured devil's whip and scorn a vivid path from the cursed. Waiting the kiss of death goddess of darkness ANGELWOLF takes her victims to her netherworld. Defiled and unearthly ANATHEMA introduces the unjust threshhold of perdition's derision setting the sombering weirdness of synths and keyboards building under Kemper's chanting desolate seperateness howl of the damned. Merciless and blatant EDEN TO EVIL one of metal's most authentic dark wave frequencies abominates the riff driven contortion from the worlds destructors abode. Seductress of black NIGHT LONG ZOMBIE WHORE sways and convicts you to her copulation of hellish lust with convexing choruses and verses of catchy dark sexiness. A baleful FIRE BANSHEE claims the scorched gnashing of guitars and chanting mourning star of flame. Climaxing to the hard hitters dark essence DEAD GONE DEAD, HAKAEL and BLACK RIDERS raise the notch of slamming guitar work continuing to follow the wickedness song writing.
